About the resort
Located eight miles from the former logging town of Golden, Kicking Horse Mountain Resort was developed in 2000 from a small ski hill and is one of Canada’s newest resorts. Even so, it still retains its small-town charm.
While it only has four lifts, it boasts a respectable 1,260m vertical drop and some excellent terrain for experts and adventurous intermediates – think steep and deep chutes and bowls in every direction.
It’s also home to the 2,347m Golden Eagle Restaurant, the highest in Canada.
