Recommended place to stay:

Miraflores Park Hotel

Last updated: 24 December, 2023

This sleek tower, tucked away in a cul-de-sac on a clifftop overlooking the Pacific, houses one of Lima’s most luxurious stays.

It’s all about location and views at the Miraflores. Standard rooms are city-facing and small for a luxury hotel. In this location it’s worth an upgrade for an ocean view suite. Rooms (and the gorgeous rooftop pool) are positioned to catch legendary over-the-water sunsets.

With a rooftop ocean-view pool and an onsite Asian-Peruvian restaurant that’s a fine-dining destination in itself, this luxurious clifftop oasis is an exquisite place to begin or end a stay in Peru.

Surrounding area

In the middle of an affluent residential district sprinkled with good shopping and a wide choice of dining options, this modern hotel sits next to the clifftop Domodossola Park, which has lovely sea views and which is pleasant for a stroll during the day. A smart local shopping centre is a short walk away, along with some of Miraflores’ best eateries.

Beaches and oceanfront promenades extend at the foot of the cliff all the way to neighbouring Barranco (avoid walking after dark). The neighbourhood has a certain charm, with a mix of architecture – from classic art deco to contemporary glass towers – and plenty of manicured parks and squares.
