This luxury boutique hotel, ideally located on the edge of Fowey’s town, overlooks its stunning estuary, with heart-stopping views from front rooms and all the common areas.
The Victorian building has been beautifully restored, preserving many original features – including a fantastic old-fashioned steel lift – but it’s bright, welcoming and comfortable with a modern contemporary design.
It’s in a great location for accessing the town, you wander down some steps and you start to wind your way through the character-filled street filled with boutique shops, cafes and restaurants. The Eden Project and Poldark’s Charlestown are a short taxi ride away.
Families with children and made welcome – there’s a kids’ menu – but it’s more for couples.
The port town of Fowey, one of Cornwall’s prettiest towns, is steeped in maritime history, dating back to the 12th century. Its quaint streets are lined with historic buildings, including the ruins of St. Catherine’s Castle, and quaint shops, cafes, and restaurants. Legends of pirates and battles abound.
Today, it’s better known for its spectacular beautiful coastal walks, charming harbour, and bustling maritime scene. The town is surrounded by beautiful countryside, and there are a number of walking trails and cycling routes in the area, including the excellent Clay Trails.
