Pastel-toned suites with faux antiques, charming staff, and a relaxed vibe characterise this romantic retreat.

Though a popular destination for honeymoons and weddings, it’s also a great choice for families. Most suites sleep 4 and pebbly Plakes beach is literally on the doorstep.

As well as beach refreshments, Tassia’s taverna serves summery Greek comfort food, so you could easily lay low here for days.

But do be aware that the port town is a 10-minute water taxi ride away, or a 45-minute coastal hike if you’re feeling energetic. The hotel has its own wooden caique, Apiliotis, for boat trips to nearby coves and islets.
