Artists Residence London

Last updated: 09 July, 2024

There’s a very particular style to Artist Residence hotels; mismatched retro furnishings, quirky décor and – predictably – lots and lots of art. Most of the clientele are younger, but the vibe is warmly bohemian rather than intimidatingly hip.

Bedrooms have nice luxury touches; king-sized beds and floral British Organic Bramley bath & body products, while the basement speakeasy is a great place for an early evening cocktail before heading out on the town.

Pimlico itself is pretty quiet, but the Victoria line will have you in the bright lights of the West End within minutes.

Surrounding area

A little village-like neighbourhood, Pimlico is a quiet, residential enclave of handsome white stucco terraces. While it doesn’t have the gloss or buzz of adjacent Belgravia, it can count a few pretty cafes and traditional pubs among its charms, plus an unbeatable central location. It’s tucked a short stroll away from Buckingham Palace, Hyde Park and South Kensington’s museum-mile.
