If you’ve ever wanted to swim with a seal, this is a great place to tick it off your bucket list. The crystal-clear waters around the Isles of Scilly are rich in sealife – an ideal habitat for grey seals, who are curious and playful around humans.
Snorkelers can encounter these intelligent creatures up close, watching as they glide effortlessly through the water and interact with each other. A peaceful yet exhilarating experience.

Getting there & doing it
Seal Snorkelling Adventures run twice daily, 2.5-hour tours departing from St Martin’s in summer months.
No snorkelling experience is but you need to be comfortable swimming in open water. Minimum age 12, and kids under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
Be warned that Atlantic waters are freezing cold, but thick wetsuits will be provided.
When to do it
Tours operate twice daily from April to September.
