Hike up Table Mountain: Recommended tours & tickets

Hike to the top of Table Mountain, one of the new 7 Wonders of Nature & take the cable car back down. There are 2 route options to choose from: A. India Venster, a more adventurous, rugged and technical route to the top. Ideal for those looking for a more adventurous and thrilling way to hike up. Involves rugged, uneven terrain and some rock scrambling. More exciting. Less crowded. Duration +-3.5 hours B. Platteklip Gorge, a more straightforward, less technical route to the top. Ideal for those looking for the most straightforward way to hike up. Involves hundreds of big rock steps all the way to the top. Less exciting. More crowded. Duration +-2.5 hours Both routes are not easy and require a few hours of steep uphill hiking on rocky terrain to get to the top. Both routes end at the top of Table Mountain where we will take the cable car back down (if open). If the cable car is closed (due to weather/maintenance), we will be required to hike back down the more straightforward route.
