Once the site of a men’s department store, QT Sydney offers a level of theatrically unmatched by its city rivals – note the flamboyant door lady and art deco lifts that waft you to the reception area.

Perched on the corner of Market and George Street, the hotel is in the very heart of Sydney’s shopping and entertainment precincts; the ornate State Theatre is next door.

With its eclectic artworks, old school barbershop, spa and sumptuous rooms QT Sydney is therefore perfect for couples (and singles) of all ages who want to feel the pulsating energy of Australia’s biggest city.

Surrounding area

Market Street is home to two major department stores and the State Theatre, a marvellous piece of baroque whimsy. This is the pulsing heart of Sydney’s retail precinct, with both Westfield Sydney and the Queen Victoria Building on the doorstep.

Walk further up the street and you’ll find Hyde Park, a lovely green space. This area is busy during the day and at night when the theatre and party crowds both arrive, but never outrageously so.
