Located in the shadow of the majestic Mont Blanc, this hotel is a masterpiece of contemporary Italian design; think industrial-chic lighting, tree-trunk bedside tables and stags’ heads adorning the walls.

The double-height, glass-clad restaurant serves up local, inventive and immaculately-styled cuisine; for something more casual, there’s a bistro serving up wood-fired pizzas.

Guests are ensured a good night’s sleep thanks to Hastern’s beds and wake to a lavish buffet that’s heaven for sweet-toothed guests, with its array of honeys, james, pastries and cakes.

About La Thuile

A former mining village, La Thuile is picturesque and pleasant, with an array of shops, (low-key) bars and restaurants. It shares its slopes with La Rosiere on the French side of the Col du Petit St Bernard.

The area boasts remarkably crowd-free pistes, with excellent beginner and intermediate slopes. There are plenty of off-piste options too, where visitors can enjoy fresh tracks several days after snow has fallen.
