A pretty, 5-minute stroll from the centre of Santillana, this arty adults-only hotel is perfect for a romantic interlude or just a quiet place to relax for a few days in Spain’s most beautiful village.

The design is quirky and fun, and many bedrooms come with private Jacuzzis, with another out in the garden by the pool. The summer bar is a food truck, and the lounge doubles as a book exchange.

Delicious food is on tap, with excellent brunches available; the private garage is handy, too.

Surrounding area

Set just outside the village, the hotel is on a moderately busy road, but surrounded on three sides by green fields and trees. You can walk to the centre of Santillana del Mar in a few minutes, while the Cave of Altamira is a 20-minute walk away.
