Cape Cadogan Boutique Hotel

Last updated: 24 December, 2023

You can expect location with a capital L at this boutique guesthouse set within walking distance of trendy Kloof Street’s restaurants, bars and boutiques.

A listed national monument, the 19th-century Georgian-Victorian townhouse is romantic and boho-cool, referencing the hedonistic Oscar Wilde (it’s named after one of his fave London haunts). Rooms are light and airy spaces with great bathrooms.

There’s a complimentary cocktail hour each evening, along with transfers to the V&A Waterfront.

Surrounding area

Located in a residential street a short walk from the city centre. Many of the houses are restored or historic, with Victorian or Georgian influences. Table Mountain is the backdrop.

Tranquil and quiet within, but once out of the front gate, expect pedestrians and plenty of traffic clogging the surrounding streets. It’s safe to walk in this area, during the day.
