Belfast 3-day Itinerary
United Kingdom (UK)
Where to go and what to see in Belfast to get the most from your trip – a 3-day itinerary from destination expert and travel writer Nicola Brady.
Bucket list experience:
In the very docks where the ill-fated ‘unsinkable’ ship was built, the angular peaks of the Titanic Belfast museum stand, reminiscent of the vessel’s memorable bow. Inside, this ode to the world’s most famous cruising disaster is an immersive, multimedia experience, from the interactive ride through the original dockyard to the recreation of the ship’s cabins.
The end of the journey is the most moving; an illuminated tunnel, with voices of survivors echoing along the walkway, telling their stories of that fateful night. Sombre, respectful and fascinating for anyone interested in this tragic, historic event.

Titanic Belfast is just outside the city, near Belfast City Airport. It’s about a 30-minute walk from the city centre, or a short taxi ride. Translink buses go from the Belfast Welcome Centre to Titanic Belfast.
Your ticket also includes entry to the SS Nomadic, so be sure to allow time to visit both. Opening hours are less regular in low season, so always check in advance.
There’s a café, restaurant and bar on site, or you can eat in the Titanic Hotel nearby. They also offer a popular Sunday Afternoon Tea in the Titanic Suite by the Grand Staircase.
If visiting during the week, later tickets are preferable, as school groups tend to visit in the morning. In high season, you’ll need to book tickets in advance.
