Wine harvest at Les Pastras [grape stomping]

  • Cadenet, Provence, France

Last updated: 23 May, 2025

For a truly authentic Provençal experience, time your visit to coincide with the wine harvest and head to Les Pastras, an organic farm in the Luberon. Run by a French-American couple Johann & Lisa Pepin, they offer you the chance to experience a traditional French wine harvest.

Here, you can roll up your sleeves and join in the age-old tradition of grape stomping, a fun and festive way to celebrate the season. The experience includes a guided tour of the vineyard, where you’ll learn about the history and techniques of winemaking in Provence, followed by a hands-on grape-stomping session. Afterwards, you’ll be treated to a buffet of cheese, paté, charcuterie, red wine and a tasting of our farm’s olive oil and truffle oil.

The wine harvest is a highlight of the year, with local wineries across the region hosting tastings and events that showcase the vibrant culture and delicious flavours of Provence. The perfect way to immerse in the local way of life. Weekdays only.
